When the Nazi war machine swept into the Soviet Union in 1941, a half million Jewish men and women donned their uniforms and heeded the call to protect their country. By war's end, 40 percent of them had perished. Now you can see the pictures of those who fought, those who fell, and those who lived to tell the tale. We also present brief stories about them, along with a program for families around the world to upload their own pictures of those family members who helped to defeat the Nazis.
